Russell Brand speaks about recovery from addiction in a funny but serious way

Not many celebrities would talk as candidly about their personal struggles as Russell Brand has.

The film and TV star has already published two memoirs, and he’ll soon be adding a self-help guide (Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions) to his growing list.

“I reckon the thing that I used to get me off heroin and stop me being obsessed with sex will work for anyone, with anything,” Brand told Mashable during a recent Facebook Live interview.

“It’s like we’re all on a scale of addiction, and using these tools — the 12 step tools — it’s possible to change the way you think and the way that you feel.” Read more…

Nick Jonas is basically auditioning for ‘Top Gun’ in new ‘Jumanji’ trailer

A year ago, a Jumanji reboot wasn’t an obvious choice, but the rebooted film is shaping up to be a wild ride nothing like the original.

In the newest trailer for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Nick Jonas joins Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black as Alex, a pilot in aviators who looks one flight away from confessing his need for speed.

That’s how Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey feel. The executive producers of RuPaul’s Drag Race and co-founders of World of Wonder Productions have dedicated their lives to celebrating counterculture via content, with a specific focus on the LGBTQ community. 

And now that they have multiple Emmy wins under their belt, they show no signs of stopping anytime soon.

The ‘Lego Movie’ franchise takes a step back with ‘Ninjago’

2014’s The Lego Movie was shockingly great, combining heart and humor into an adventure so winning, it was possible to forget the entire thing was a massive toy tie-in. 

This year’s The Lego Batman movie was a worthy follow-up, taking advantage of the silly-sweet tone established in The Lego Movie to tell a story about the Caped Crusader that his gritty live-action incarnations can’t (or won’t).

And The Lego Ninjago Movie? Eh, it’s also there.
